Collection includes: correspondence, the vast majority from Danny Kaye to Holly Fine, but also including letters to Fine from Kaye's wife Sylvia Fine, Kaye's brothers Sparky and Larry, Bea Marcus, and other people involved in the Marcus Show; vaudeville and burlesque programs and material, mostly related to the Marcus Show; newspaper clippings and other printed material relating to Fine, Kaye, and the Marcus Show; portraits and photographs of the performances of Fine, Kaye, and other vaudeville performers, as well as snapshots with well-known actors, musicians, and comedians; two scrapbooks, one (not bound) of photographs from Fine's travels in Asia and the Pacific with the Marcus Show, including several pictures of the aftermath of the Japanese bombing of Shanghai in 1937, the other (bound, with several loose pages in an accompanying folder) primarily of clippings and programs related to Fine and the Marcus Show; four miscellaneous drawings and a Buddhist print.

Holly Fine was a burlesque dancer with A.B. (Abe) Marcus's traveling vaudeville production, the Marcus Show (at that time called La Vie Paree) from 1933-1939. The Marcus Show was a company of 75 performers, touring extensively in China, Japan, India, South Africa, Mexico, Australia and other countries.
